lexus gsf getting into w204 c63
Need some direction with purchasing a high milage w204
2012 c63 around 80k miles for $30k. 1 owner service done at m-b whole life… 5k miles before it sold the cylinder heads were replaced. Is this something I should be weary of? Would m-b dealer look at lifter/camshaft/bearing wear before selling? Need some advice I really want one of these bad boys. TIA

Doubt they would open it up just to check that before selling unless you are willing to pay for them to do it, but never hurts to ask. If the cylinder heads were replaced maybe the cam adjuster(s), lifter(s), or cam(s) failed and did major damage? Who supposedly replaced them? MB? Indy?

The heads being replaced is super curious, there is a lot of top end stuff that wears out at that mileage but replacing the heads, really no reason to do that unless they are physically damaged.
Ask for a cold start video as that didn't sound like one.
Why is it at the auction (or is that a dealer and if so whats with the grease pencil that usually indicates auction), since it is a one owner well serviced car, they are not that hard to sell and they are not giving it away at 30k.
