Throttle pedal replacement

So my car car went into limp mode twice in the last month when pressing the pedal all the way to kickdown. I ran the DTC with my scan tool, and it shows the typical 0073 for the pedal throttle position circuit. My replacement pedal from FCPEuro should be here in a few days. The replacement itself looks really simple, but does anyone know if there is some sort of relearn procedure that has to be done with the replacement unit? I keep seeing conflicting information on this.

TIA!

Really easy install. Did mine in 2020. As sickSVT said, no relearn needed.

i also experience this when accelerating from time to time, however it is always accompanied by a bunch of messages on the dash such as

"Run Flat Indicator inoperative
PRE-SAFE Functions limited
DISTRONIC PLUS inoperative
Active Blind Spot Assist Inoperative
Active Lane Keeping Assist Inoperative
ABS inoperative"

do you also get these messages when it goes into limp mode?

I don't have all of the safety systems on mine, so I don't get all those messages. All I recall is that a bunch of lights lit up on the dash, including the run flat and traction control lights. I hooked up my bidirectional scan tool to run fault codes on multiple systems, and the only thing noteworthy that showed up was the code for the throttle position sensor.
It's strange that it seems to trigger lights for seemingly unrelated systems, but I suppose those systems use throttle input as a variable and therefore are disabled.
