I just received my first-ever Blackstone report and I would gratefully value any feedback.
For context: I ran Liqui-Moly 5w40 for 3,000 miles. It also had CeraTec for this cycle. I always let the engine warm up properly before driving aggressively. I've never had any excess noises from the engine. I was not able to run the engine to warm it up before draining the oil.
For the oil currently in the car, I've added two bottles of MoS2.
I would make no judgment or assessment after the first report. Post the second report and you can compare the two reports on your car vs universal averages.
Trend is more important than a spot reading. When I take my sample it’s usually from the middle of the extract for whatever that’s worth. I wouldn’t worry about it for now. Are you the only owner? Do you have any idea how it’s been maintained, driven, etc?
One reason I asked about when you took the sample is that you said you didn't warm up the car to change the oil, so if you didn't circulate the oil things settle and if you took the sample right away you will get some higher numbers on the metals.
I am the third owner. First owner it was a corporate car traded in on a Bentley so I would assume mildly. Owner I purchased it from was a spirited driver but maintained the car well (oil changes every 5k instead of 3, though).
