Grinding Noise when in Park or Neutral
Hey all, new to the forums, I’ve tried looking for this issue specially for the c63 but haven’t found much online-
Noticed the other day when I’m idling and I’m either in Park or Neutral, there is a small but audible grinding noise coming from the front of the car, can’t really tell exactly where. The second I put it in drive, car still idling, noise disappears straight away.
Ive tried to rev the car when in park and neutral to see if it changes and from initial testing it does seem to get quieter or go away when I rev although it’s harder to be sure because of the loud exhaust.
Anyone had this before, is it maybe normal or should I be worried and get it checked?
I have read online on some other cars it’s sometimes the belt and or the pulleys that can cause this so may give that a check…
