Crank Pulley Removal help!
Good Evening,
After searching the forum i found what happened to my stock idlers after they exploded ---- At first losing power steering, battery warning, and then the engine temp rising, i shut of the car then.
The serpentine belt was shredded and some of it wrapped behind the AP crank shaft, i've pulled what i can by hand but there is oil all around the back of the crank at the case.. so i'm suspecting it lodged between the Crank and the Case Pulling the seal a tad bit ( not sure if it made it into the chain).....
My question is how do i remove the Crank Pulley? i've seen the 3 pronged tool but that will not fit this it was larger than the threads here
i've also seen a "puller" that screws into the 3 threads and you twist.. But The inner Bolt has to come out first?
Thank you for your help!
Failed upper idler
Rest of belt Behind Crank
How do you remove this?
Not sure if there should even be this much space between case and crank

Get a flywheel locking tool from eBay to lock the engine from spinning and remove the crank pulley bolt.
The crank pulley should slide off easily without any puller tools.

Ensure the serpentine belt is off. Remove the crankshaft bolt with a breaker bar. Use a harmonic balancer puller to gently extract the pulley. Inspect for obstructions and check the crankshaft and seal. Replace carefully.
