Think was due to a leaky fuel injector. Engine hydrolocked, so looking to put in a new engine has anyone here swapped the pre facelift. Just looking for some opinions on what to do. Looking for an engine or rebuilding this one. Also have an issue with the abs/esp or sam unit not communicating.

very sad news! good luck on search for replacement motor.
rebuild will be iffy if you don't know the status of your current motor. with what it looks like a hole in the piston, you probably have a bit of damage. not a motor to throw in the trash, but one that you'll need quite a bit of work to refurbish. complete replacement motor would be best.
