Lost MAF Retaining Clip while DIY Injectors, Plugs, Coil Packs, LSD & Trans Mount
Hey! LOOOOONG time no post!
I was doing new spark plugs, coil packs and injectors this weekend.
Also LSD fluid change and Creative Steel Transmission Mount
I accidently dropped both of the MAF retaining clips into the engine bay...
I removed all the engine undertrays and only found 1 of the 2 I lost (DOH!)
Where can I get a replacement? Any other way to secure it? Will one clip be enough?
(Renntech 1st gen intake that uses factory retaining clips)
UPDATE: You cant get a replacement clip! You have to buy a whole new airbox (one side) it will come with a new MAF sensor with the clips attaching that sensor to the box! DOH!
I made my own out of a piece of stainless. I then used some metal foil tape used for HVAC to tape around the clips to hold them (I don't trust the "pressure" fit on the Renntech boxes.
The newer and current Gen Renntech air boxes have a nice machined red aluminum clip that sides over both sides of the MAF.
I emailed them to see if it will work on their 1st gen airboxes (Fingers crossed)
