Cam position Sensor Code P0019
Hey all, I have a 2009 C63 AMG. 145k miles I recently got a P0019 code. I started with the sensor. Bought an OE one the old one that came off had a ring/slight score mark around it.
Now I can clear the code and it will stay off until I restart the car.
So now after reading it's most likely the cam phaser or cam adjuster whatever you want to call it. Doing some research looks like I can replace the plates for about 400 and fix the issue.
My question is, could that code be anything else? I don't hear any rattle or noise on startup. Car still has plenty of power. Even at idle no cam rattle.
Sorta at a loss right now.

can you provide me some more info please?
I left out of my original post: a good friend of mine owns a tuning shop and has a star computer. There is a learning procedure he tried and it kept failing.
