W204 C63 Amg 507 Sedan
New 507 Owner

Hi I have been lurking in the forum for some time, getting info before finally buy a nice 2014 507 Sedan. I checked the car with a local mechanic that specializes in Mercedes. This car is in quite good condition even though it has 120,000km. (75,000 miles). The brakes, tires and several other things were very recently updated as the owner had no plans to sell the car, until a job relocation to another country forced him to sell it. The only this that has been modified is the engine ecu was reprogrammed and the airfilters are BMC hi-flow. Is it possible/worth while to return the car to a standard ECU programming? Or should I leave as is? Thanks

"Reprogrammed" as in a tune? You could ask the owner what type or who it was tuned by, they might have the handheld device that can bring it back to stock. I wouldn't worry too much though as long as the car drives well.

most aftermarket ecu tunes for the 507 don't do anything. i'd say if you're able to go back to stock do it as it'll be the most safe.

Thanks! I'll look into doing this.
