Hi All,

I went to replace the parking globes in my headlights and opened a can of worms... the wiring shields all inside the headlight appear to be melted which I believe is causing shorts.

I've seen some people on here have replaced the wiring harness but I can't seem to find one for factory HID's.

Anyone have aftermarket headlight assembly options that retain a mostly stock look, that also won't cost me my left kidney?

Alternatively, a wiring harness that suits factory HID's for a 2008?

You can splice in a used harness off a donor car. Is there anything inside the headlight damaged?

It’s just the wires damaged.

in Australia it’d be pretty hard to find a donor car with a good quality harness.

any other ideas?

code the eyebrow lights out or buy new headlamps. those are the easy solutions. Very common issue.

Yeah I'm happy to buy new headlights, but I'm being quoted $2k so was after recommendations for aftermarket ones that are decent but not priced crazy.

Ive been dying to do this, has it actually been done? because i feel like even with it coded out, the circuit might trigger the error.
