FI Interchiller advice please

Hi Guys,

I hope you are all doing well!

Recently fitted the FI interchiller to my Stage 2 Weistec Kit, and I'm in process of testing the results.

I'm wondering, if people who ran the Stage 1 FI Kit can share some numbers about what AC charge weight you are running?

Also what coolant do you use?

Appreciate any help and stay safe!

Hey man, I've put 750g into mine but I think there is still room for improvement. Yours looking nice and frosty so might try 730g. I had some digging and was sure 640g is the original value, hmm... Do you know your low and high pressure values?

Also do you run additional tank for your charge coolant?

I'm using OEM fluid for now also.

Did you made some custom fittings for your system? Or use the one which FI provided?

Cheers

I saw the frost only when it was on dyno with the fans running at full speed but even after long and hard driving the SC LID was cold to the touch,i would suggest you to slowly reduce the refrigerant and check the coolant temps with a digital guage... getting a hood vent also helps a lot by removing heat....
I want to make a custom tank to hold more fluid but there is very little space in our engine bay.
The shop did make custom fittings they didn't want to cut the oem pipes, so they made custom T fittings from the main AC lane

Smart move with the fittings, and yeah that's my plan. Will slightly reduce the weight and some testing. Ideally we want to measure the coolant temperature which goes in and out from SC.

What about as an example a Weistec trunk tank with the pump. Rather than custom tank under the hood? I believe FI recommends 15l coolant capacity
