I have a 2012 C63 and I'm pretty sure that my headlights are aftermarket which is fine, except one of them is now shorting out and doesn't reliably turn on.
The culprit is the HID sliver mesh wire on the inside of the housing, I can wiggle it and the light comes on.
I think the fix is to replace the headlight but I don't actually know which ones to buy.
My Question:
The lights that I see on Ebay have "Mercedes Benz intelligent headlights". The ones one my car are definitely not, but how can I tell if my car originally came with these intelligent headlights or not?
OR
Does anyone know how to fix the wire shorting out? I bought new wires for the inside of the light but it seems that it's not possible to replace unless you take the housing apart which I'm not that excited about doing.
