C63 w204 2012 limiting power on dyno 5th gear
New to this forum so would appreciate any insight
I recently took my c63 w204 for a stage 1 tune and it produced 404 bhp on the first run at the engine. After tuning it managed to achieve 484bhp however the tuner said it was limiting revs and cutting off at 5th gear around 6k rpm and not revving to red line. Could this be due to a previous owner using less than 98 octane fuel so the gearbox is adapting and reducing the power output ? Finally how would an issue like this be resolved, would i need a gearbox map or is there a way to sort this without spending more on tuning. Car is currently full with 99 octane however there was a quarter tank with i suspect just 97 or less octane fuel.
