Trying to find my dads C63 AMG Black Series - He passed away - It was his last car
Hello everyone, I am trying to locate and purchase my dads 2012 C63 Black Series. He passed away in 2013 and my family was forced to sell the car for financial reasons. The car was Mars Red with the track/aero package and has VIN #WDDGJ7HBXCF886247. My dad was a huge car guy and it was something we enjoyed together since I was a little kid and this was one of his favorites and the last car we rode together in before he passed. Part of his eulogy speech involved THIS car and the dumb stuff we did in it, until the very end. My life has quite literally revolved around cars because of him, so this one means a lot to me.
It was originally sold at Mercedes Benz Orlando (Maitland), then traded into the same dealer and sold to my dad. The following is attached in the CarFax report.

I actually own an exotic sports car dealership lol. This is one of many ways I’m trying to track it. It’s definitely not an easy task. I’m going to start calling the shops on Monday that have serviced it etc. Going to call the dealer who last sold it too, however it looks like it was a private sale from owner 4 to owner 5. The hard part is, even if I do find someone who knows him like a shop or dealer, they are most likely not allowed to share his info.
I was hoping to find it using the forums because it’s a tight community and maybe someone knows the guy and sees this.

Good luck, Keep us posted on how this whole process works out and the steps you take. I'm always curious about tracking down old cars. I'm in the process of trying to track down an old MR2 Turbo i owned 15 years ago. First is forums and FB Pages, then it snowballs from there.
eddyngojr should be able to provide you with private info that's usually not okay to share here out in the open..
besides that, it seems as of the most recent DMV update, your car is in Northern California..
be sure to join "AMG Black Series Owners Group" on Facebook, most of the group members are in the state-side, make a post there, and the owner circle will be gladly to provide assist, too.
Looks like this srvice was done shortly after the current owner bought the car. It also shows him to be in Los Gatos, CA.
I would call this shop and give them your info so they can pass it to the customer. Its unlikelly theyll give you the guys number so if you provide yours Im sure theyll help.
Id just give the shop your number and tell them your story and kindly ask them to forwad that to the current owner. Los Gatos is a pretty wealthy area here in Norhtern California so its in good hands most likely.
Out of curiosity, OP, will you tell the current owner your story and ask to buy the car? And what if the owner doesn't want to sell?

I will tell him the story. If he doesn't want to sell, I will do my best to source him an equivalent car. I'm sure we'll be able to come to an agreement though. I find hard to find cars for a living and there is always a way.

Thanks! I saw this one the carfax and I reached out to them this morning but they are closed mondays, so I'll call them first thing tomorrow.
