2009 C63 Front Seat Lumbar Support Fault Diagnosis and Parts

I have a set of 2009 C63 AMG seats in my W203 C230.

The seats have worked fine for several years, but about two weeks ago, the lumbar support bladders deflated. I am not certain, it seemed like the top lumbar support bladder deflated first. When I attempted to reinflate it, the lower support deflated.

When I press the lumbar controls, I can hear the pump run and the bladders inflate to a minimal degree but lose pressure as soon as I stop pressing the controls. The side bolsters inflate and deflate as they always have.;

I've found some information on lumbar failure and repair, but the threads I've found focus on wiring issues. I spent some time with ChatGPT attempting to diagnose the problem. Given my seat's symptoms it identified three possible failure points: 1. The valve block that controls the flow of air; 2. The lumbar air bladders; and 3. An air line. Base on ChatGPT's initial advice, I bought the components that you can see below.

I made the purchase based on erroneous advice from ChatGPT. Specifically, chat told me: Common part number used across W204/W212 front seats: A000‑910‑51‑02 (vacuum/valve control module for seat lumbar).This is not correct. Note that the valve I bought has three air lines. ChatGPT later said that the correct valve has 6 air lines total. This makes sense to me because the extra lines are needed to support inflation and deflation of the side bolster. Chat told me (I believe also incorrectly) that the 6‑port version is labeled A 000 910 51 02 BR204 or A 000 910 52 02. Searching on those part numbers returns information on the lumbar bladders, not the valve.

Unfortunately, I am reluctant to disassemble the seat myself because I am concerned about damaging the leather. This means that I can't verify the cause of the failure or see part numbers of the components.

I visited two upholstery shops. Neither of the two techs I spoke with had worked on a C63 seat. However, one of the techs was familiar with Mercedes seats and had replaced lumbar support bladders in several of them. He told me that he had never heard of the valve failing and his experience and my description of the failure symptoms led him to believe that it was the problem was with the lumbar bladders. If he is right, the fact that I have the wrong valve is not a significant problem.

My concern is that if I do need the valve, I don't have a good option for finding the correct one for a C63 seat. I spoke to one recycler that had some C63 seats that were in poor condition. I asked if they would sell components, but they only want to sell entire seats. The other recycler didn't have C63 seats.

Here are my questions:
1. Has anyone had a similar problem?
2. If you had this problem, how did you solve it?
3. Does anyone have a source for W204 C63 seat components?

Thanks
