Any updates from anyone.? Was told by the dealer that the advice he got from corporate was "early April release". Don't know if anyone has heard anything more specific in the last day or so.

Not sure if this helps or there is any relation. But if MB is trying to release the C43 close to arrival of C63 it could be relevant.

In Canada, I was told C63 release is quoted for "retail release in late Q2"

My SA called me 15 minutes ago. He contacted distribution this morning and after some back and forth with them, was told "the c43's will be released sometime within the next week". I'm not sure what that's worth, but there it is.

Consistent with what I heard. Yet it is almost silly. Corporate treats this like a state secret. I am at a total loss to understand why they can't advise their dealer networks so customers can be advised and plan accordingly.

I agree, it's annoying they can't give dealers a concrete release day. I asked my SA for an update and he said he heard they will be released by the 15th. I don't really know what to think at this point.

That's what corporate said last week. But who knows....it's a dark secret.

They are horrible with transparency of release. When I was waiting for my 2019 C43, it was build in June 2018. I ultimately only took delivery in Dec 2018. They just kepy saying, " its imminent release", "in the next month", i"n the next week" etc.

I felt like I was just being told what I wanted to hear to keep me satisfied enough and wait a bit longer.

There is really no way to know. That said, I hope it is released soon for all those waiting.

I feel bad for my SA at this point. He obviously wants to keep me informed, but everything resembling an ETA gets busted because MB USA doesn't know how to be transparent. Early last week, I was given assurances that it was coming any day now, but then the latest has been reworded to include the entire month of April. Obviously I'd like to take delivery since I've been waiting for a year, but at this point I just want to be given a date I can plan around and quite frankly, I feel like we deserve some sort of explanation for the repeated delays.

Think their plan is to just cross off 2024 on all the paperwork and to make it a 2025 at this point. I found out mine just left Germany on 4/3 so I suspect I have a few weeks now. When I talked to my SA he mentioned my car is part of the first wave of releases so hopefully that doesn't mean mid/late April for you all.

I thought North America based w206 C classes including base, C43 and C63 were all built in South Africa. From what I understood, engine is built in Germany for 43 and 63, but the rest of the car is built in SA?

I would expect the car to then ship from SA and not Germany.

Yes. Hence the joke. But other parts are built elsewhere also, tranny is built in Zimbabwe.

My SA just told me his inventory manager said MB gave the green light for release yesterday. He says mine will hopefully arrive there this week. We'll see.

Just got an update from my SA. He said it’s released as well and should be picked up by the carrier around May 9th. I’m in NJ as well. Not sure how accurate that is, hopefully it gets here sooner.

Just got the same update from my SA. Finally released and should be on its way to the dealership from the VPC.
