How much clearance does the stock cam have in it's rotation?

How much clearance does the stock cam have in it's rotation?
Since the cam is directly actuating the lifters the cam is making all of the lift, whereas on other cars the use of rocker arms allows for lifts greater than the cam lobe height. My question was in rotating the intake and exhaust cam lobs, how much clearance is available at the "worst" point of cam rotation. I can see with a really big cam it will hit the wall ( valve cover rail ) that the valve cover mounts to. Some companies offer to provide some clearance for the cams. So I was wondering what we are working with in this application?
Trying to figure out the max lobe size allowable on the intake and exhaust without clearancing, and what is the maximum possible WITH clearancing on the head ?
Stock c63 intake cam has 12mm ( .472" ) of intake lift and 11mm (. 433" ) of exhaust lift. What was lift on the SLS cams?
What about P/V stock, SLS and any other cams that anyone might have checked on?
I think i heard something on one of the tasos discussions about the pistons being installed rotated wrong so that the valve relief on the piston on the intake side is actually what should be on the exhaust side and flip flopped?
The valve reliefs look the same on the piston for stock and SLS, so stock should clear at least an SLS cam. ( I know it loses power with the stock C63 intake ).

You never actually posted the year of your car. That would be very helpful information. Many of the owners who post in this W206 forum are W205 owners.
