Oil Cooler Locations
Hi Guys,
Recently picked up a 2008 W204 C63.
I have an oil leak in the right wheel arch, also have oil on the underbelly.
No leaks from the engine or anything up high. It does all appear to be engine oil it is brown.
I pulled the front bumper off and looking into the wheel arch from the driver door (looking in from behind the cooler) it appears oil is coming from the bottom left of the oil cooler, is there any known issues with these?
In regards to the trans cooler, would the fluid definitely not be brown? Or could it be that I have a leak on both (be my luck!)
I'm wondering if anyone can confirm the below for me also so I'm on the right track
- The cooler in the wheel arch is the engine oil cooler
- The cooler in the front of the bumper is the trans oil cooler
Thanks!
