I had a lot of equity from my trade in, 2019 C43. Depreciation is insane though. Car was $78k sticker. Owned it for a year and a half and now it’s like $44k. 43% depreciation. Makes sense though bc it’s trashhhhh. LMFAO. Second and last Mercedes.

Other option that I really like is a 911 base, fully spec’d out with the Aero Package and everything. My only issue is it’s a base so I don’t really know.

Lastly is an M4, I don’t mind this option at all but it’s been out for a while and due for a refresh. So I’m late on the curve.

My budget is less than $150k sticker for this next round. CLE is what I really wanted, but we all know Merc is turd.
Was there a reason why you got rid of the 2019?

As for CLE, that competes with more than a 4 series and a5 though, that sort of competes with the defunct 6 series and a7 but at a cheaper price point. The seats for example is better than a W206 C-Class, the build quality is better (or so I heard), reliability not certain but the fit and finish supposed to be better as a result (or so I heard).

No reason, just wanted a new car. Had the 2019 for a little over 4 years so I wanted something new.

And yes, you’re right about the level the CLE is at. But it’s in a weird place in terms of the target / comparable market. It’s a coupe so there really isn’t anything in that class for Audi. The RS7 is a sedan. As for the M8, like you said it will be discontinued. But even so, I like to heavily spec my cars, so it goes above $150k after adding most of the options. The M8 is a beautiful car though!

I guess you save some money going with 4 series over the CLE but you don't get some E amenities or in bmw's case 5 series. That said, if you are not confident with MB, it is worth giving them some time before coming back only because buyer's remorse is the last you need and I had experienced that a few times myself and all I can say is, it wasn't fun.
I still think the CLE 53 is a good value proposition especially if it doesn't have reliability issues... but ... Oh well, still on my shopping list.

Although it is probably wiser to vote with your wallet and tell MB beta products sold as production models is not ok.

The CLE53 is an amazing value proposition. But yeah I think it has the same issues hah! Definitely still a trash infotainment and I heard of some other issue but I can’t quote them off the top of my head.

I love the 53 but I want an 8 cylinder. I’ve done the 6 with my old C43 and now the 4 hybrid on my current one. I want to upgrade! But it’s a price thing to me. If it tops out at $120k then I’m all the way in but if it’s pushing $150k I really don’t think it’s worth it. RIP the days when I was in high school and dreaming when something like an Audi R8 was $150k 😭

100%! And they know people are willing to buy regardless so they keep pushing out “beta products”.

The CLE 63 if it comes with a V8 might be pretty sweet.
