2024 - C43 Sedan - Parking Issue

Hi all,

I just took delivery of a 2024 C43 and I'm having an issue while trying to park. The vehicle seem to jump or lurch forward while slowly releasing the brake preventing me from parking precisely or inching forward in a control manner while parking. Has anyone experienced this issue and/or is there a solution to this? Thank you.

I think you thought about this already but you are not in sport mode right. Or is auto start/stop on?

Yes, set to comfort mode. It is a lot better with the auto/start stop off, but still feels slighly jumpy still. Maybe it just takes time to get use to how to apply pressure on the pedal.

I wonder if it is because it is a MCT, need owners to chime in to see if it is normal behaviour.

If the car is brand new, give it some time to go through the learning process for the clutch slipping/releasing. My MCT definitely improved between the 1000 and 2000 mile mark - I think largely because during the first thousand miles, the car has limited data to work from due to following the break-in procedure (i.e. no high-torque gear shift data etc.) I'm at ~6000 miles now, no issues with low speed stop and go driving during bumper to bumper traffic or while parking in any of the vehicle modes.

Note that I always have auto stop/start turned off, so I can't comment on how the car responds with it on.

Thanks for your insight, that was what I was thinking, MCT is basically a manual transmission controlled by computers, with the clutch and all, it might need time to adapt to the driver to be more smooth, that said I wonder if there are outstanding software updates for OP's model year 2024?
