Just got it the other day and I'm dumbfounded that there is NO way to get any type of app for this. No adapter (anymore) no hardware that can be put in, no software...you get where I'm going. Now this is gonna be probably dumb question,but I was looking in the M me website and I got to a page where it said it did an over the air update today. (Guessing the navigation sd I put in) So here's the dumb question, if it can do an over the air update, why the heck can't MB some how have some kind of app connectivity? (also, seriously I don't have remote start at all??) 😩 Thanks for letting me join and thanks for any and all of your wisdom.

Hey thanks for replies !
Yep have mbrace app. The navigation did ota update etc, but app saying not eligible. MB dealership said their system was down when I bought the car, are they supposed to set up something on their end? My vin finally attached to the app Monday. . But under pic of car, says ineligible?

You're welcome and yes, their responsibility to set it up for you. Not sure why yours say is ineligible unless vehicle was not originally intended for the USA market. Ie. Canadian car.

Canadian car actually doesn't have the HERMES module needed to use mbrace. As Canada jumped straight ahead to Mercedes Me in 2019.

Yeah, I called mercedes mbrace # today and they don't know why it is saying that and put me on hold and called the mb dealership, not sure what they talked about. Then came back on and said they would have to escalate it and get back to me. That was about 4 hours ago haven't heard back yet. USA car. I'll report back if/when I hear anything.

Called them back today. Lady got my credit card number went through everything with me all the features. Uninstalled app reinstalled etc. Still saying inactive. At the end she said may take 48 hours. Fingers crossed.

Finally got the app to load and log in. Then 3 hrs later it was down for almost 24 hours. When it finally came up last night I tried to test the remote start. How long is it supposed to take to start? I finally gave up and hit cancel. I did the door unlock today and that was almost immediate. But then tried the remote start and jt just circled and circled saying it was checking to make sure the doors were locked etc. Should it be almost immediate like unlocking the doors? Thanks for everything.

Less than a minute for Mercedes Me. If mbrace might indeed be slower. It also depends on the reception of both the car and phone.

More like within 15 seconds basically, again not sure for mbrace.
