C63 and C63S Differences

What are the main differences in these two cars besides the HP numbers?

The car is going to be FBO when its possible so i was just wondering the big differences

I can't decide wether to get a C63 Edition 1 or a C63S

The standard C63 will not have "Race" mode, a more aggressive setting than S+.

The standard C63 has a mechanical differential standard whereas the "S" model has an electronic diff similar. to the one on the AMG GT.

I don't think id ever use Race Mode. Is there a big difference between technical and electronic?

e63s edition 1
Instead of having a fixed mount with bushings you can have it set a bit softer, then the car feels much smoother due to a less direct connection with the engine.

But if its set firm, you will feel every little bit of the engine and flex is minimized.

So with adaptive it can go soft when in comfort and stiffer when on sport and race.

So you get the best of all worlds.

There are more technical stats on the benefits of solid/stiff mounts.
But i think you get the idea..

You don't have to pick C63S or Edition 1.
The edition 1 comes in C63 or C63S form.

thats what i meant too lol

if the price is around 62/63 then with the S it'll be around 70 if they price it like they did the E63/E63S

Edition 1 package is will probably cost around 11K if its priced like the CLA 45 Edition 1.

At my age thats way too much to spend on a car. So umma have to choose one or the other.

If price is a factor and you know you will not be at the track every single week ends then get the C63 and tune it (once available) + wheels + whatever aftermarket pieces you want.

For anyone still interested in this question I'll actually be posting a review soon (within the next week) comparing the C63S to the regular and even the new coupe:

Also if anyone was considering European delivery my channel has info on that:

Good post. That's exactly what I have done.

I have no intention of tracking my car so race mode would be irrelevant. I balanced my order between long distance, I go for holidays in the south of France, Italy etc. So DP2 was a must. As well as the premium pack comforts.

Total price exceeds 63S (coupe) price but I can tune as required.
I noticed that the tune costs the same for both variants, so you get more for your money as a base spec. owner.

Much more on the C63S is Standard

C63S "Coupe" has:

.Active Engine mount
.Electronic Differential
.Larger break rotors with different material, drill pattern, upgraded calipers and Red painted!
.19" 5 spoke standard (can't be purchased with C63)
.Standard Nappa leather and Black Ash wood
.19"/20" setup can be upgraded on the C63S but not on the C63

And, surely 503 HP

>>Also, I talk myself out of it everyday! Current owner of a BMW F10-535ix... I can't decide between an M4 or a C63S

I will say because of the size and slight weight difference, the coupe is a better handler as well vs the sedan. It's a more interesting car then the M4 and I am a BMW guy (my project car is a 135 and my 1st car was a older BMW).

As far as im aware the sedan is 100-200lbs ligher than the coupe and has stiffer suspension and a lower coefficient of drag so if tires were the same 255/285 vs the 245/265 we have now i would think the sedan would be faster and handle better.

.24 vs .26

Coupe is wider and different final drive ratio. I don't think so.

I'm sure part of the decision making at AMG to put shorter gearing in the Coupe was to make sure Coupe didn't have taller overall gearing than the Sedan due to having taller rear tires (285/30-20 vs 265/35-19) if the rear end was kept the same.
