I was told that production stats in March and deliveries starting soon after with final delivery by July. I ordered mine with Palladium Silver which might add few weeks from my order date. My sales person believe that since I placed the order early and they are one of the largest dealer in the east coast it might be ready by the end of April. Honestly, another month or two will not make much of a deference for me.

 

Is Palladium Silver the color of the show car that was showed off at the Auto Show?

 

That's one of the designo matte colors not available in the USA

 

The show car was Iridium Silver if I'm not mistaken. I like the drier gray silver and it will less show off the side graphics

 

Did you order an Edition 1? From what dealer?

 

Looks like myself and Kuba are both getting ours in April. I have it confirmed with the carbon ceramic brake upgrade and the heads up display... Keep you all posted as I get more info.

 

Yes I have ordered the Edition 1 from HBL in Tysons Corner Northern Virginia

 

I'm surprise about the heads up display and the ceramic brake upgrade. I was told that the ONLY options are the colors. Usually Edition 1 has no options beond that special build. My order form was very specific about that.

Did you lock the price at MSRP? As you know deposit are not refundable.

 

Nope not an edition 1. I wanted a regular C63S. I really wanted to have HUD in my car. I got the performance seats and Multimedia package. All the other options i don't care for. If the edition 1 came with brown leather interior i definitely would have gotten it.

 

It seems nobody really knows for sure about all the options yet. There are several people who received different info from their Dealer like myself.
Why not wait a lil bit and see what happens in the next couple of weeks. It would really be disappointing if you wanted something but were told it wasn't available on your model type and then find out it was .

 

No price yet. The build request was confirmed, so I am pretty sure that I will be getting the added option. I hope nothing changes as we approach the build date.

At first, I was told I could only pick the color and it had to be black or white. But we submitted it with iridium silver and the requested options and it took. This was about 3 weeks ago.

I think his info is based off the 1.1 order guide since the 1.2 still hasn't been released and it'll probably only contain pricing info etc. (Just checked the Private Lounge).

 

It's different here in Canada. Here the Edition 1 is considered a package in the order guide and you can add more options to it. Also so far my Edition 1 order is frozen with the HUD display etc so I'm quite sure I'll be getting it.

 

1.2 is already out. it came out on the 22nd of last month.

 

If you check the Private Lounge 1.1 actually came out on the 22nd of January.

You cannot be based in the US! I've had it confirmed from MBUSA that the spec for Edition 1 is fixed for USA. It's effin ridiculous.

 

I don't think its ridiculous... I think that the main question is how much the new W205 worth and how much costumers will be willing to pay for a fully loaded W205. I estimate that the Edition 1 will cost between $84,000 to $88,000 before tax. Once you add the ceramic brake and the head on display you are surly above $95,000. Does it worth it? A fully loaded M3 including ceramic breaks is $89,475, The fully loaded RS5 is $81,600

So, effectively what you are saying is that Mercedes have got their pricing wrong!

What i find ridiculous is that a customer is willing to pay an extra 1k for HUD on a car that is going to be over 85k, and their response is "no".

How does allowing to add options affect the pricing of the standard Edition 1? Is it some freaking law of nature that Edition 1 has to have a fixed spec?

 

I have an order form and they already charged my card for the $5K diposit.

Anyone else in the US have placed an order for Edition 1? I see Candians but no one else from the US
