AMG GT S sets one of the fastest laps ever on Top Gear's test track (Good for W205?)
Not 100% W205 C63 material but considering that the W205 C63 S and AMG GT S share several key features (motor, minus dry sump lubrication; dynamic engine mounts; e-differential; carbon fiber driveshaft; etc.), this is probably good news for the W205 C63.
James May conducted the AMG GT S review and heaped praise upon it, explaining that it was the most grown-up/sophisticated AMG car ever. He loved the exterior and interior looks, performance, sound, cornering ability, technology, etc. He said AMG finally came up with a dual character car - the GT S is capable of being a complete hooligan or a very neat and tidy sports car.
Then, the Stig put down a lap in the 1:17 range, besting the Nissan GT-R's time and falling just a tad short of the Veyron S.S.

The F80 M3 was also tested and Clarkson absolutely loved it (which is saying something considering he has had a few AMG cars, including the CLK63 Black).

That's an awesome result and will certainly bode well for the brand 
I don't believe the 205 series C63's will be anywhere as good on a track as the GT, because the GT has been specifically designed and built from the ground up for the task.
However I for one will be more than happy if the new C63's are superior to the new M3/4's on a track, bar that I'm confident the new C63's have all the rest of it covered retaining the status quo between these 2 rivals

The two models are not so different - they share many components.
AMG GT S has lower mass, lower center of gravity and wider rear tyres - however the C63s should stay within the same second - 1.17.

Very impressive performance and great review for the GT S
I think the C63 will be quicker on a track than the M3/M4, considering the much heavier E63 S was a tick quicker than the M4 around VIR I'd hope the C63 S is at least as good.

I wanna see a road test on the C63s so damn bad. Everything I have seen about the GTS has made it my new car crush. The cars have so many similarities that while I know the GTS is a different level the C63s has to be freakish as well.

From the many different physical characteristics of the W205 C63 sedan and the GT there's absolutely no way the W205 C63 will run an almost identical time to the GT on the same track.
Only time will tell, we're all looking forward to the test drive reviews of the new C63

I am also confident of the same, but don't want to say or write it until it's official
If such is the case except for the looks aspect between these 2 which is purely subjective to the individual the W205 C63's will totally dominate and outclass the new M3/4.
at the end "thats cause you were driving it" thats how i feel about most C63 owners ..never taken it past a 100

AMG GTs vs C63s
Top Gear track profile - some curves but long straight runs after the curves. AMG GT S should be faster during the curve, but during the drive-in to the curve (breaking point), drive-out (acceleleration point) and straigh runs the C63S should cope quite well with the AMG GT S. However just speculation.

Interesting review of the GT-S. The new C63S shouldn't be that far in terms of performance although it is a sedan. Let's wait for official reviews and compare what is comparable.

I haven't seen the episode but it would seem fellow Aussie and F1 driver Ricardo has taken top position on the pro race car drivers list on the Top Gear track, besting the current Stig LOL
It's happened before with a previous F1 driver and whoever the Stig was at that time
