Well it is going in the shop next week for some cosmetic treatment and those badges are coming off.
I thought mine were off at first also but all coupes seem to be like that. They are lined up with the bottom trunk line. I taped my stock ones off before I replaced with gloss black ones to keep the same line. At some angles like square from the back like your picture, they do look funny but are mounted properly.

I am going to paint the wheels glossy black. I think they will look bigger than in the OEM look. Also thinking of changing to 20" rims. The 19" are maybe a bit small.
