Tire and Rim protection package
Thanks.
How much is it? In general if you're betting against an insurance company with their legions of actuaries, you're going to lose. So in general, no, paying for insurance is a bad idea. There is always the unlucky exception...
I can't speak from the experience because I haven't used it for any repair so far. If u want to get aftermarket wheels, it's more worth it (aftermarket plan more expensive than factory one).
12 month $1,855, ~ 72 months $2,790 Canadian. I might use winter rims and tires too.
I would check to see what wheel repair costs are in your area. For me there would be no way I would pay that.
I recently curbed one of my rims really bad. I had the entire wheel redone at a local shop and it cost me $140. I've looked at the wheel with a magnifying glass, out in bright sunlight and there is no way you can tell it was damaged.
As far as tires, a lot of retail dealers sell tire warranties now so see what they offer. Discount Tire or Americas Tire in the US sells very competitive tire warranties whether you bought the tires there or not.
