I have diamond white on my GLS. Like others have stated, it isn't a pure white and does have a off-white/beige tint to it. It looks wonderful on my luxury SUV, but I don't know if I want that look on my sports sedan.

Pure white just looks sporty and that's why I plan on ordering Polar White for my C63 S sedan.

I personally prefer the diamond over the polar white.

Congrats on the new order!

personal preferences, I completely disagree with you buddy. It looks just as good on a sports sedan I find polar white very dull..

I just wanted you to know that if we see you driving around Sydney in your Polar white GLC250 that the comments from inside my (Diamond white) car is "oh.. didn't get Diamond white *sigh*". This is not a joke, I actually say this. Can't stand Polar white, cheapens the car.

Diamond looks more special at least partly because you see far less cars in that colour on the road (in the UK at least). However I wonder whether it looks a bit more of a luxury colour and therefore a little less "sporty" so I can see damnitbobby's point even if I would in the end choose Diamond over Polar as SBH has.

enough said! spot on Dragon.

Personally, I 'd say the Diamond white is one the best white paints ever made. compare a diamond white c63 with a pearl white M4/M3 (if available) ...

Hello,

I have C63S as polar white. One reason for selecting this was scratches/repaints. Since I use my car on track occasionally, as well as on unpaved roads, it is likely that sooner or later I will damage car and/or paint. I was told that repairing/repainting polar white will not leave any difference between repainted vs. old panels, thus result should be better than with diamond white. I do not know whether this is true or not. Luckily haven't tested this yet.

Yeah it's much less sporty. I mean if only this car was polar white it would be so much more "sporty"

Haha j/k. I actually reviewed every single thread I could find at this vs polar before getting my car. I did want polar to start with and the lighting I was shown a diamond white car made it look yellow. I have never come across that issue again and love the look.

As far as repainting diamond white is a multi step costing process so repainting or touch up in not going to be easy or even possible to match in some circumstances

I'm not sure if you are basing that on my comment. I really should have been more clear. They unloaded the car and before prep it was sitting in some old grimey parking garage across the street. The lights were flickering and covered with dust. He only took me over to show me the interior (red black performance seats). I think it may have had the same effect on polar white.
My comment was just that I did extensive reasearch before I commited to buying the car. Sorry about that

I considered both colors as well. What I found on every one of the designo whites that I looked at no matter if it was on this car or one of the S classes is that the rear and front bumper colors do not match the rest of the body. The color is off a shade. Next time you look at one, pay attention to the bumpers and you will notice it. I always see it. I asked one of the managers and a salesperson at the dealership I frequent, and they confirmed this. It is because the bumpers are made of a different product than the rest of the body. Not all will notice this, but if your like me and notice the finer things, and are a bit of a perfectionist... then you will see it. That was a deal breaker for me on the Designo white color.

This was one of the reasons I went with the Polar white. The bumpers match the body and I personally think it looks better anyway.

I love white cars. I had an SL63 in alabaster white and an SL63 in diamond white metallic. I also had a 2015 C63WS in polar white and currently have a 2018 C63WS in designo diamond white metallic. My preference by far is diamond white. In the one pic you can see how it really pops in the sun. I don't see any difference in bumper color. Maybe that was on older vehicles and not so much anymore. I would never not choose a color I like because it might cost more to repair or be harder. Someone could always do the job and that's what insurance is for. Rocking the stormtrooper look - love it.

Nice ride benzbell. I don't notice it so much in your pics, but I clearly see it when I see these cars in person. My dealer had a 2019 S class in diamond white and I saw the difference and he agreed. He told me he notices it on all the diamond whites. I agree that not everyone will notice it though. Maybe its the kind of job I do, or maybe it's something about my eyesight...lol..I don't know. I find it quite obvious when I see these cars in person, but rarely can see it in a picture.

Putting my polar white C63S next to an Ibis white S7, mine looks yellow. That actually annoyed me, lol.

It's not because it's a different material. Once the substrate (primer) is on and coverage is achieved. It doesn't matter at that point. It's the fact those parts are sprayed separate and not on the car. So the slight difference may be a minor lack of uniformity because the front and rear fascia covers are not sprayed on the car. It's most likely more perceptible in certain lights if you're really looking for it. I've never noticed it to be honest with you. Not saying it's not there.

I have Diamond White and the front and rear bumpers in certain light are a noticeably different shade. It really annoyed me. I had to get my rear bumper resprayed after I got swiped in a car park. They matched it to the rest of the car and it looks fine. So can be fixed. Need to get my front done now.
If I had bought new from a dealer, I would have complained and got it fixed. Got it second hand and didn't notice it when I bought it.

IMO, diamond white shows off the curves and lines of the car better than polar white. Looks awesome in low light and at night.

Wanted to order new E class but when I asked for Diamond White dealer said it was discontinued and replaced with Moonlight White. Does anyone know what the difference is between Diamond White and Moonlight White
