The WORST thing about owning a new AMG 63S
#26
Is 1000 miles the official AMG guideline for a proper break/run-in period? I ask because different manufacturers provide different numbers with some even saying there is no need.
For example for a Porsche it is stated as 3000km in the manual, slightly less than 2000 miles.
Of course non of this really matters if you don't intend to keep your car for more than a few years since it will be someone else's problem down the road.

I've learned the hard way to stick to the guidelines set by the manufacturer.

There is a sticker on the inside of the windshield with break/in procedure and maintenance. I didn't read it but I saw it on the c63s I test drove plus it has been mentioned by current owners. Maybe someone can take a pic of it.Someone else's problem if you decide to keep it for only a couple of years? Correct but hopefully you don't change your mind or bad karma if you believe in it.
