Issues with ordering process
Hey I ordered my build back in April. Build date was set for first week of September to receive a MY16. I have checked with my salesman who is a friend once a month to be sure nothing has changed. Got a build sheet today that had everything I wanted on it but the black wheels. My sales guy said there is nothing they can do and that MB is behind on the wheels. So any suggestions on what to do?
I don't really want to walk away since I've waited to long for it, but I also don't see it right that they just say sorry you have to take these stock wheels.

I would say just ask for a discount. Say something along the lines of "I really wanted black wheels, I have always had black wheels on all my sports cars, so I don't know if I want to take the car...." :P

I ordered my C63S in May, build date is sometime in November, but the forged Titanium wheels that are a part of the order are causing additional delay. Also, the SurroundView system that I was hoping would become available by that time is still a nogo. I am going to cancel my order and go into a holding pattern until things with MB settle down on this vehicle. It is frustrating to wait for 6 months on a custom build only to be informed that one of the items you selected and were committed will not be delivered at all.

i am also disappointed not to get the black wheels, but my plan is to get the titanium wheels and powder coat them to the same color as the stock black wheels. Hopefully I won't be able to tell the difference. Dealer says they can send wheels out for powder coat for $500.

I was originally going to get the MY2015 with the black wheels but then found out they ran out of them. So I waited and placed my order with a deposit back in May to get a MY2016 because I really wanted the black wheels.
4/5 months ago when the first new C63s were introduced there were no aftermarket wheels available yet which gave me no choice but to wait. Now there are some good choices with some impressive sizes to choose from.

black wheels not available
I put in my order for a 2016 C63S with the black wheels on Aug 20th. The salesman told me that there was a problem that MB was out of stock on the wheels and my order would have to go into a holding pattern till they were avail. I see here that some people have been waiting since April/May for the same wheels. Does anyone out there have any info as to when MB will restock these wheels?

mercedes has the black wheels now
Just got a call from my MB salesman and he told me that Mercedes has the black wheels back in stock and that I now have a purchase order. Set to be built in Nov and possibly will be here 1st week of Dec Yay
