This car is amazing but 200k will be pushing it, albeit for a ED1. Compare M4 at one end (150k-ish on the road) and 911 not too far on the other side of 200k.. Ok maybe mid 200s.

Ive held off confirming my order till the option lists come out.

Dealer estimates between 4-6k more than sedan.

Looks like a specced up ED1 Coupe will be close to 200k driveaway

I'm not sure about the edition one, but 200k is a bit much.

What options did you get on the sedan? Was it ed1?

Didn't go with the edition one, I wasn't a fan of the red accents all around the car.

I went with obsidian black w/the multi-spoke black wheels. Australian models come fully optioned. The only thing you can choose is the Wheels, CCB break and sports seats. I went with the normal breaks and seats (mostly for comfort as I drive it everyday).

You guys think a C63 S coupe with the 20" wheels could be had for $75K USD?

So looks like what I was told about them not being able to change the spec on the first batch is true.

A little surprised to see that many Ed1 in the first batch as I didn't think the look with the yellow would be that popular. I guess people might have requested an Ed1 a long time ago.

I'm not sure what I would do if I were them at the top of the list after that big wait, seeing the restrictions you have with specs and exterior paint. I guess you're expecting to pay more with the coupe and especially an Ed1, but $200k is a bit over the top. Some might end up with some passing on it I guess due to all those factors.

One things for sure though the demand is obviously there as AV1 pointed out.

The high price for the ED1 is the magno paint and CCB brakes. Personally i dont want any of those.

Dealer has suggested they are able to take off the yellow stripe before delivery of vehicle with heat gun

Waiting for price and option list before i lock in mine.

You still end up with yellow rims and yellow stitching on the interior presumably.

Yes and IMO the yellow just doesn't work on this car. When I was placing my order for the sedan I had tossed up the idea of an Ed1 with decals removed as I didn't mind the red on the interior. But the yellow on coupe just looks a bit tacky, and again that's just me.

I don't think so. If the ED1 is only that matte grey and yellow stripe finish, no one would buy it. I'm sure you can mix and match colors and the stripe. In fact, I've seen a white ED1 with a grey stripe on an AMG collector's Instagram (@rokenr).

I think we're just referring to what's on order for this first batch in Australia. I know so far in Europe it's possible to switch things up with the colors, exterior carbon package etc.

I've expressed this many times before, but once again completely agree with you on the yellow highlights of the Ed1 coupe being tacky and unfitting.

The grey stripes (and choice of exterior colour) are for the base ED1 coupe, the 'ED1 Motorsport package' gives you the yellow stripes and magno selenite grey exterior

For Australia

ED1 = ED1 Motorsport package (magno grey/ccb/racing wheels).
No negotiations. Which sucks.

I guess for now with the initial batch but things might get a bit more flexible as they roll more out in Australia (you would hope anyway).

Now here's a pretty sharp looking Ed1. If I had one on order in Australia I would definitely be waiting to see if I could get some different color options.

At the bottom of the clip the guy comments that Ed1 goes for a touch over 130,000 Euro, so right par with the previous estimate of $200k AUD that was mentioned, actually a touch over at $205k AUD.

Nah, IMHO get rid of all those silly stripes regardless of colour and then you have the perfect C205 C63

IMHO this kind of aesthetic dress up kit takes away from the luxury/prestige appearance and adds to the boy racer/teenage wannabe appearance, but as always each to their own as long as they're happy with what they've purchased
