Probably around 3000 miles but to be fair it includes a track day at Donington and the rest of my summer miles have been spent in race mode with traction control off.

I upgraded to 285 at the rear (michelin PSS) and the new found grip is ridiculous.

Wish I had put these on from the get-go.

0 issues whatsoever.

Cheers!

I don't know the answer to this definitively, but if you don't keep "20" between the front and rears then you will change the geometry of the steering design. Will it matter? I don't know. 245/65, 255/275, 265/285 (if possible).

To go 255/285 may be as large as we can go, but the car wasn't designed for the gap between front and rear.

They very likely will fit on the wheels as in you'll be able to mount them. That doesn't mean that they will work any better (and in many cases won't work as well) than a skinnier tire.

Personally, the only tire size combo other than stock I would do on the stock 19" wheels would be 255/35-19 and 275/35-19. I'm sure you can go wider and not have any problems with outright functionality, but I don't think you are gaining anything going wider.

On a previous car I had tires that were wider than the recommended specs, and while I never had a blow-out/flat/rubbing/etc, you could definitely feel that the car was unsettled compared to the stock tire size. No point in having more grip if you can't predictably use it.
