Misfire

I went to pickup my girlfriend from work and my car started misfiring. I parked up by her work place and shut off the car, when I started it again it started rough and the engine was shaking and the check engine light came on. I shut off the car immediately and then turned it on again, it wasn't as badas the first time however it was still running rough. I restarted her a 3rd time and she ran well although the cel was gone. Fast forward to the next day and the car starts up perfectly no sign of a misfire and cel is gone.

Has any one experienced anything like this before? Do I bring it into service?

Bring it right to service. It will show any codes that cause the CEL.

Mine needed the update performed. It ran rich at idle and caused a misfire.

engine shaking w/ misfires sounds like bad coil. Kind of shocked it happened so soon but it does happen.
