Need to find 12v power for nophoto plate blocker
Hi,
I am struggling to find +12 ignition for the noPhoto near the trunk area of the car. The instructions (www.nophoto.com) say to wire it in to a daytime running light but I don't think our cars have any controlled by ignition. I think our rear tail lights are controlled by the headlight switch, which would make the noPhoto useless during the daytime when the headlights are turned off.
Anyone know an easy spot to tap into an ignition source? Or am I going to have to run a wire from the fusebox or battery?

Just an update: I poked around with a multimeter for a bit but wound up just taking the car to my audio guy and had him do the install. He ran a wire through the trim all the way to the fusebox and did it properly. Cost me $200 but at least I don't have to worry about it not being done right. These cars are too complicated nowadays to screw something up on.

Current photo-cells with high quality lenses are very light sensitive. Do speed-cameras use flash during the daytime? There should be plenty of light without the flash.

All the ones near me do, I always see them go off. I am guessing they have to use a fast shutter speed to prevent blur from the cars speeding. I doubt they ever update the cameras anyway they have been there for like a decade, it wasn't that long ago when they were still using film near me.
