Fuel Range !
Hi lads.
Wanted to check on one thing. I collected my c63s 2 days ago and I got it at half tank. I had to fill up my tank yesterday night and after filling the tank, the fuel range came up to approx. 485km if I'm not mistaken. That was a blow really! I was expecting something higher?
Is this usual? + While parking in the parking lot and chatting with a friend, the fuel range dropped from approx. 425km to nearly 382km!!! some 50 km drop in range just from idling?? After I drove it off to home, starting to pickup and stayed floating around 395 km and the moment I reached home it was 415km. Today morning, I start the car, it reads 370km.
I'm really concerned!!!

The range is updated by the current fuel usage
Disregard cold start mileage as the vehicle runs rich and inefficient until it's warmed( to help the cats warm)
The faster the speed with the lower the rpms the better the mileage you will get

Yes I understand but my concern was that why would it drop some 50-60 kilometers in range while I'm on park. also is it normal in the c63s that the fuel range fluctuates ALOT within a minute or two? or is this due to the car being new (made 503km)

You are overthinking this. It samples amount fuel used v miles driven. Zero miles driven gives a false read as very inefficient so your range drops. If you then drive a handful of miles conservatively it increases the range. Theoretically you can use the entire tank idling. Your actual range will be zero. That is the direction that the computer is going but in a short ten minutes span.
