C63s or E63
Hey guys,
Think I'm goin let go of the GLA45 and step up in the AMG family. I was initially goin get a lightly used C63s. But then I noticed I could get a lightly used 2013/14 E63 for around the same price. I know they r 2 totally different cars. Both would fit my needs fine. Just curious if anyone has crossed shopped or owned one and went to the other. Thoughts, opinions, etc.

Same debate I'm having. I'm not worried about it feeling outdated because it won't. For me, the 4matic is keeping me away from the E63 because of the top end hit it takes due to the all wheel drive. The C63s is great looking but I'm wanted some flared fenders for once. Can't do a coupe because I always have ppl in my car but the tuning possibilities are pretty good for the c63. Can't go wrong with either one

If you can afford it and wait for the release timeline, get the new upcoming E63, it's going to be epic !!!

If you are planning to track get the C. If daily driver with passengers get the E - more room, comfort, safety, 4matic (unless you are racing or running the autobahn, top end shouldn't really matter).

Well currently if I go c63s I have the option to get one that a friend of the family has owned. He babied it, all highway miles. Never had it in race mode. Very well taken care of. A little over 4000 miles on it. Looking at about 15k below msrp on price. If I get an E, it will be strait pot luck of autotrader. Low mileage

Well at that discount, I would get the C and and put the savings into some mods!

For some reason that cut off the rest of my reply. The only hesitation I have on the C is I drive 80 miles round trip for work. We can get nasty winters here in the WV hills. So AWD would be a benefit. However I do have a beater truck that I could use when the snow gets deep and sloppy. And I'm Sure in most cases a good set of winters on the C would be more than adequate. Also tossed around the idea of getting a used ML63.

And dare I say I have been also cross shopping a 2015 M3 and RS5. I could get either for about 5-8 grand less than the C. But I really love AMG and the service I get at my local dealer. So it would be very hard for me to part with Mercedes.

2014 E63S; AMS 100 octane ecu tune; edok tcu tune; BB intakes; dyno tuned
2013 E63 RWD
2014 E63 AWD
Which one are you deciding on?
I use a 2014 E63S as a daily driver and three car seats in the back -- very comfortable car.
Go drive both and let us know.

E63 AWD. Well the C is local. The E I will have to do an autotrader search and so far the closest is about 150-200 miles away. Would like to drive both. I did a while back at the AMG Driving Academy.... But a refresher would be great!!

My brother has a 2014 E63 modded. It's an absolute beast from a dig, but you can notice it slow down past 130. We do track our cars so top end speed is important. Being that the new E63 will be a 4.0L the C63s will be very close number wise tuned and lighter.

But it sounds like the E's are the majority vote... Goin have to really start searching autotrader. The last thing I will add is the C is an edition 1. So it is slightly nicer "interior wise" than the average C. In my opinion. But I know others may not agree.

I did consider the current E when I leased the C. I went with the C mainly because of newer gadgetry as I couldn't pick based on performance.
