Saw this today as the wife and I were coming from the grocery store. I thought it was debris from afar but upon inspection it looks like some type of hose. Car is acting normal but I have been getting a random beep sound during times at a stop light (red image of car appears on speedometer in the top center). Called the dealership and they can't see me until Tuesday and don't know what it is. So hopefully someone here might be able to help me identify what this hose is. I did give it a little tug and about an inch more
came out.
Not sure what that bit sticking out is but the warning light and accompanying beep you described is the collision prevention assist system activating. Shouldn't be activating randomly at stop lights though...
The beeping might be what trim105 said--are you coming up on car ahead with a fast closing rate? If so it will warn you and than brake and tighten seat belt.
Thanks everyone. If it is a drain it might just be sticking out more than it should. I'm still gonna let the dealership have a look at it for peace of mind.
