First track day with my c63s

I had my first real track day in my c63s today at donington Grand Prix circuit. Other than checking the fluids all I did was change to Michelin pilot sport cup 2's.
255 fronts and 275 rears. It was a fairly warm spring day and the traction from the cup 2's was incredible. I managed to be faster than a lot of serious strip out smaller engined cars. Way faster than I expected. The tyres were a big step up from pilot supersports.
I think I'll be running them on the road when the weather permits.
Anybody else had any experience with the cup 2's?

I had my car on the track with the pilot super sport and it was great!

I may just get a second set for track days.

Me too ! I was at Goodwood at the weekend. Car was great - just using the standard fit Pilot supersports. They did overheat after 3-4 laps a little but until then all was good - car was balanced and fun to drive. Brakes took a pounding but seemed to hold up well. No real fade.

What tyre pressures did you use ?

I ran 42psi fronts and 39psi rears.
I could only run 4-5 laps before the tyres and brakes needed a rest.

You just find the car moving a touch more - in this case the front just ran a little wide and were not as sharp on turn in. They cool down very quickly. In fact a slow lap will get them cool enough probably.
