Campaign?
1. Driver side window area creaking while going over rough roads. This forum has a thread or two about it, but since it's under warranty, I wanted MB to take care of it.
2. Driver's seat creaked a bit. They tightened and oiled the rails and bolts.
3. Low oil and sometimes low coolant would trigger intermittently, but when I checked levels (both while warm and while cold) the levels were fine. Apparently, there's an ECU reflash for this, so they updated the ECU.
Finally, while Northern California got some much needed rain the last few weeks, I would, in traffic, occasionally get a Pre-Safe warning condition.. which would end up going away within minutes.
This was what I was told (I haven't picked up my car yet, so I don't have the official wording from the paperwork):
Campaign—Mercedes Benz has determined that a connector housing seal might be missing at the electronic locking differential actuator motor. As a result, water entry is possible at the plug and may result in various fault messages in the instrument cluster display.
So, just as a FYI for folks driving their 63S' in the rain.. you may have the same issue.
My car was build in December and I've had it less than a week. I'll keep this thread in mind as we head into winter. Thanks for the heads up
