Do I Sell My BS To Buy The New Coupe?!
Finally, the notion that anyone is going to make a killing by investing in a CLK63 BS is a straw man. No one's made that claim. The issue here is whether they are appreciating and there's no doubt that they are. The fact that these were the first BS cars to make it stateside with a mere 350 examples strengthens the argument that they will eventually appreciate. Will they ever get back to their MSRP? Only time will tell. The point is that certain cars always end up bouncing back in value. We're seeing this exact trend with W113 and R107 SLs now. A mere 5-7 years ago one could have a Pagoda for under 30K and now they're selling for four times that.
Value: Not sure if the market will be super competitive as the Porsche (993, 964 etc) have gone up with the dying breed of enthusiast vehicles.
The 2016/7 C63S Coupe will tank in value in the next two years by comparison to the BS as these have likely slowed in terms of depreciation in the market Additionally, the LCI Model will make this current version less desirable in the secondary market. Always been a fan of the LCI models as they typically improved aesthetically and offer unique packages:
i.e. 2012 - 2015 W204 (more reliable, improved transmission mapping, improved interior, 507 Edition blah blah)

Disregarding forum sales by members only discredits your weak stance even further. Forum members car are usually better maintained and are extremely clean examples. Prices have not bottomed out or turned the corner.
5-7 years ago we were in the worst recession in current history.

Question, when comparing markets, why do people bring up the CLKBS? It's not just this thread where that seems to be the common theme, I've seen others like that as well. I know you guys know your benz's well enough to tell I have a C63BS but we're talking about the market on the CLKBS...is that simply because it's been on the market a bit longer so you can judge depreciation a bit better?
If that's the case, weren't there a few more CLKBS produced than 2012-2013 C63BS and a few improvements made to the C63BS that would help how it depreciates/appreciates?
Either way, both epic cars and like a lot of you have said, you don't buy a car like this for an investment...it's meant to be driven! Now...if it will only stop snowing in MN so I can
! LOL.

! LOL.Btw, I have to stop looking at pics of the new coupe. Damn that thing is sick! Then again, I look at pics of an AMG GTS...and want that. R8 Spyder, yup..want that. MP4-12C, those prices are coming down, soooo, I want that, lol!
Car struggles are real!

This thread on the other hand was to get a bit more insight on the new C63 AMG.
Harebrained? This internet thing seems new to you.
$34k is not representative of the market but it does reflect where it can go. Nothing you stated shows appreciation. All the cars that are $50-60k were $70-80K two years ago.
No reflection on C63BS.....but a pretty accurate reference point.
