C63 bottom end engine blew up
Hi everyone I'm new to this an wanted to share my story as I'm don't know what to do???
I bought a c63 amg 2012 model around 3 months ago from a trader (not mb)
And the day I bought it I called up mb warantee an got an extended warantee
Which set me back £1600 for the year.
Come last Sunday was driving it on the motorway an I heard a bang an saw loads of smoke as if the car was on fire I pulled over an found oil was leaking everywhere so I called mb road side they recoverd the car an they found the bottom end of the engine was smashed away an now they are sayin could cost up to £48k to be fixed an want me to pay £2500 for an investigation to find out why that had happend I'm so devistated an don't know wat to say or do anyone can help be much appreciated

2014 E63S; AMS 100 octane ecu tune; edok tcu tune; BB intakes; dyno tuned
First thing I would do is call that warranty company and then my car insurance agent
If the insurance agent states they will cover the cost of it's an external damage that caused the problem then you're set
What is the trade in value of you car now ... I mean before the engine explosion

$48K seems excessively high. We're offering a reinforced block w/ upgraded rods and pistons for a quarter of that- I'd even throw in a reinforced billet oil pan if the clods make you pay out of pocket.
