Bobby's C63s electronics issues
I'm starting this thread as a log of the electronic issues I started seeing with my car. I have no real problems at the moment but I suspect my electronics may be becoming "possessed" and wanted to share my ongoing experiences for others to see. Please chime in if you have experienced similar issues. Thanks.
1. With the door open you have to manually release e brake to drive. I did that and in a few feet e brake engaged and slammed the car into a stop so harsh I thought I hit or ran over something. I didn't think that had ever happened before.
2. Once I lost my *I mode. Nothing would happen when I flipped the toggle up. I turned the car off and on. *I came back but the customizations were gone and had to be redone.
3. My passenger woofer and mid suddenly stopped playing. At first I thought my right ear needed to pop like during flying. Then I played with the balance and fader and realized that only right tweeters were working. Turned the car off and on. It was back to normal.
4. My tpms came on for all four tires at the same time on a hot day and after a drive. The pressure readings on the screen were mid thirties. No flats. I added 1-2 psi and reset tpms and its fine now. It appeared unusual based on circumstances. This usually happens if one tire slowly drops below lower threshold of the tpms on a colder day before tires warm up.
5.
Your vehicle's electric parking brake is automatically
released if all of the following conditions
are met:
Rthe engine is running.
Rthe transmission is in position D or R.
Rthe seat belt has been fastened.
Ryou depress the accelerator pedal.
If the transmission is in position R, the trunk lid
must be closed.
If your seat belt is not fastened, the following
conditions must be fulfilled to automatically
release the electric parking brake:
Rthe driver's door is closed.
Ryou have shifted out of transmission position
P or you have previously driven faster than
2 mph (3 km/h).
Ensure that you do not depress the accelerator
pedal unintentionally. Otherwise the parking
brake will be released and the vehicle will start
to move.
This is from the manual --did you have your seat belt fastened? If not maybe the car saw it off and the door opened and set the brake again.

My Audi did they same thing. First time it happened I thought I was headed through the windshield.

My Range Rover has soft close doors so I was in the habbit of not really closing the door properly. This surprised me too and at first I thought the ebrake was jammed. Once I realized what it was, am happy the feature is there.
Oh and the awesome infinite brake hold too. That in my range rover and BMW both only hold for a short moment. so this is much better.
