DOT 6 fluid
So I was having my C63S prepped for the Sept 2 Thunderhill track day and asked the dealer to put DOT 6 (Motul) in the brake lines. They told me it was incompatible with the braking system as it is sitcom based and I had to use the DOT 5 fluid. The brakes went spongy in nothing flat at the track. Now I did use DOT 6 during my last event and, as you might expect, the pedal remained firm.
Does anyone have definitive info on this? With such a heavy car, we really need a higher temp fluid and am not aware of any non silicon based 6 fluid.
