Squealing Brakes
Hi,
Just want to know if anyone with standard brakes/ rotors are experiencing squealing brakes. Generally it happens when applying light braking. Dealer tech said it was normal on AMGs to squeal.
Really??? Cars just clicked 11,000kms and whilst I accept these may be high performance brakes and rotors but is this normal?

You can only hope it subsides and/or becomes less noticeable (try not to brake too hard either if you can). It happened a lot when I picked up and was breaking-in my C63 S Coupe but it has reduced quite a bit since passing 1,000 miles.
Since you've driven yours quite a bit it might be an issue but I doubt it, just gotta live with it I suppose. Too many positives about this car for brake noise to be a deal-breaker

I have the same problem. My car is just under 3000km and I hear it at low speed braking. It's annoying! I have an appointment with Merc to check it out. I got the same responses "high end brakes squeak" "New brakes tend to squeal, it will go away"
Nope! It's probably more consistent now. I refuse to believe that a brand new Mercedes would have squeaky brakes for this long.

I have nearly 24k KM on my Merc, but I've been experiencing a slight squeak ever since I reached 18-19k km. Its a very slight squeak not everyone can notice it, and the dealer says there's nothing wrong with your brakes. its just when in drive above 100km/h and I slightly tap my brakes I hear the squeak for a fraction of a second and then it mutes out. One technical advisor told me to have my discs cleaned, might help?
