Not a stupid question at all, I had no idea of the procedure until the shop explained it to me lol
I appreciate the quick reply! It seemed to me like it made more sense to do the clear bra second (I'm clearly no expert haha), but now everyone has been telling me it's the opposite, so the opposite it is haha!

Geez those fronts are looking good Sanch. Super aggressive stance.

At least you've found the limit on tyre width for the rears - 5mm spacer will sort it nicely.

BTW Stu tells me I missed you at his shop by a couple of hours. I dropped in yesterday on my tours around wet Sydney to chat wheel style, sizes and tyres. Very informative and I'm clearer about sizes for wheels and tyres.

Now just have to decide on which BC rim is going to work best. Seriously I've spent less time thinking when buying houses.....

Thanks mate!

It was a shocking day yesterday. Good start to autumn lol.

Too many choices sometimes makes things difficult. Looking forward to seeing your new wheels.

Got to love the 'punch you in the face' look of the stance of the car now. Super aggressive and stylish. Must be a treat to have that as your daily.

Could I ask a couple of questions while we're here admiring the view:
1, Did you put a protective treatment on the paint and if so which one? Debating whether to treat mine when it arrives or just try to keep up with regular polishing.

2, Are you still happy with the polished rim on the wheels? I am looking at bushed black disc but am not sure the polished rim will work as well as it does with your gunmetal.

1) I used Modesta's top tier ceramic coating and front clear bra (xpel). Being a black car I'm very cautious.

2) I love the polished lip, looks amazing in the flesh. I think it will work well with brushed black. However if you're going with 19" I'd stick with one colour.

Looks awesome Sanch. The wheels do work well even if they might not have been my personal first choice Stance is about perfect now.

Thanks Sanch - really helpful info. I've had 8 years of black cars so this is the first non-black for a while. The ceramic coating seems to be working well for you from the pics to stop the swirls and you're clearly looking after it.

Agree totally on 19 wheels being one colour. I keep changing my mind on style but currently like the HT53 all in brushed black. The photos show a polished rim but think you're right about staying one colour.

Stu is confirming sizes but we think we can go a full inch wider front & rear and move to wider rubber. 265 x 35 front and 285 x 35 rear. Will give a better stance and traction if we can make that work.

That is a nice style, it will look epic!

Def can go 9.5 in the front and 10,5 in rear. Stu's pretty good with getting the offsets right. Def make it work!

I agree, it's not everyone's cup of tea.

I like it aggressive and unique

Awesome stuff Sanch. That car just doesn't have a bad angle. The protective coating looks to be working well, no swirls or lines visible under light. Nice GT4 next to you too!

I liked the wheels when you first got them but now absolutely love them - think they grow on you. Looks superb and so much better than the usual black gloss. Ultimate sophisticated aggression.

Love the GT4... however it's so small. People complaining about not fitting into the coupe should try this car lol.

Thanks mate

I pulled this from the Florida C63 coupe thread... I have the OE tune and for a lack of a better phrase: its fawking brilliant. The car is so much more potent from start to high speed runs. The tq on tap in the usable rpm ranges is excellent and the car becomes an even more dangerous GT cruiser with great 60 to 130mph improvements. I love the passing process even moreso and the throttle is now where it should be, not too sensitive but not too mushy. The car really becomes a streetable monster and there is zero log with the hot v and the added immediate boost. I added the tune around 200 plus miles or so and never looked back. I have had probably over 30 tunes via OE (multiple ones on the same cars as he updates) and this one is at the top of the lot in regards to true usable gains and driveability. And the tune really helps with the MCT which is vastly improved already but it makes it more responsive so it ties boost on more and faster.

Thanks for the feedback Vic!

Very helpful indeed, this is definitely next on my list of things to do.

Threads been dead for a while...

Few updates:

- New hood star looks sweet
- Secondary cats have been removed- sounds great, I wished I had done it sooner.

Also, I've ordered porter field break pads - couldn't take the break dust from the OEM pads

Also looking at OE tuning done soon.

Looking good Sanch.

How long before we get a clue what the new wheels will look like? 24 inch spinners? Just a thought
