A lot of codes...

My car is tuned and I have a couple of codes... and questions.

1. Should I take it to the dealer to see what's going on?
2. Would they remove the tune if they fix them?
3. It says Boost is too high in Turbocharger 1. Is it due to the tune? If yes, why isn't it high in both turbochargers.
4. Is it normal to get that error (boost too high) after a tune?
5. Please suggest what to do

Thanks everyone.

Edit: A lot of codes are due to the fact that I wrapped my car and they took off a lot of components. What worries me mainly is the Turbocharger 1 code + the AC Flap.

Looks like the tune could be the problem. If you bring it to the dealer they will probably charge you as your car is modified so warranty will not apply. I suggest you take it back to your tuner to have a look and if all else fails remove the tune and see if it fixes the problem. If the problem persists then time for the dealer.

Good advice Matt, thanks. Waiting to hear back from my tuner.

Apparently they're soft codes and I shouldn't be worried... Still working on answers. Trying to make the right decisions.

Based on the other thread you started, I wouldn't think they are JUST soft codes. I would be willing to bet you a losing something in the performance area due to the code. I would assume an overboost, like what you have, code would throw your car into a sort of limp mode. Nothing that would trip a check engine light but something that would cause an ecu to pull performance as a precaution. Also, any tune (and tune only) that throws codes would worry me. The tuner should work hard to rectify this without you having to go to the dealership at all. If they don't, I'd demand a refund and find another tune.

Was told by MB dealership that Rentech ECU tunes would not cause warranty issues. They are also a Renntech dealer.

You mentioned recently having an E63 pull away in a speed test--the underlying issue here could be causing loss of power perhaps?

If my understanding is correct, RENNTech has it's own warranty that will cover any fix to your car if (and really when) MB does not warrant the claims because of the tune. Most reputable tuners will do this; you are just going through their warranty process instead of MB's process.

is your HP gauge going all the way to 504 at WOT?
if the car is in any sort of limp mode that will be your first hint. it will max out in the 350 range

My car wasn't in limp mode during that pull. Limp mode has only happened once when I didn't properly warm up the engine and went a bit hard. And yes bgm, it goes all the way at WOT.

It isn't "limp mode" where the CEL comes on and power in significantly cut. It's more that the engine could be cutting timing to compensate for any issues that it is reading (ie. the overboost on one of the turbos). You wouldn't notice anything significant at all, especially during normal driving. You'd only notice that the car isn't makes all the power it should at WOT.

It's similar to a car cutting timing because it's running on 87 octane fuel instead of 93 octane. You won't go into a limp mode, but the car will compensate by cutting the timing (and because of the, power) to protect the engine.

I understand that. And yes, I already hit that kind of limp mode. Just had to restart the engine and it was gone.

Car is getting DPs + Custom Dyno Tune next week. Before and After Dyno As well. Will let everyone know how it goes.

On my V12 I used to get the boost pressure too high code. Cycling of the Ignition removed the car out of limp mode. DAS has to be used to clear the code in the ECU.
