OBD Code 63s
Hi All,
My Engine Light has come on. OBD Reader reads code P2AOB after 6 months of having a Racechip Piggy.
I know someone had this code pop up before but the cars been around now for over a year so I was wondering if anyone had seen this ?

I did have it pop up when my Rebellion piggyback was on after a few months. Engine was actually running really rough; that day was particularly hot and when I went to pull the piggyback, it was actually so hot I couldn't hold it barehanded. I sent it back and Rebellion flashed a newer tune. I cleared OBD of the code and it hasn't come back since. Keeping an eye on things though.

Yes it is definitely running really rough. When in C mode it sounds twice as loud. I think if it was a mod you could actually do on purpose it would make the car sound amazing.
So the solution you suggest would be remove, clear OBD of the code and then go back to Racechip for a new flash or new box.

It seems to be somewhat common for those running the Piggyback. I had it happen only once. I cleared it at my local auto zone and it hasn't returned since. Come to think of it, it was summertime and maybe it was getting very hot but, I dont know for sure. If you put the bypass plug on in place of the piggy it will clear itself after 3 restarts or something like that...

Part of the problem I think is that C idles the car in 2nd gear, and at a lower RPM. If the tune is trying to lean things out already, it's probably causing the rough idling. The car sounds like it's NA with some lopey cams.. before it completely stalls out.
The new flash on the piggyback has been working well.
I suspected the unit may have gotten too hot as well, so I've wrapped the piggy in DEI Cool Tape before remounting. It definitely stays a lot cooler now.
