Towed away c63s coupe. What to be aware of?

So... my beautiful wife misparked my new c63s coupe and it was towed away by a private company. I got the car back (after paying $370 thanks hon) and don't see any damage to bumpers, wheels, etc. I drove it home and the transmission feels fine. Nothing sounds weird.

No idea how they towed the car without causing any damage, given how little clearance it has.

Anything i should be aware of or verify to ensure there was no damage to my car?

ughhhhhhh

I wonder how they winched it on the the truck without the tow hook? Maybe they carry a set of different sized hooks for these types of situations?

Did they use a flatbed or a standard tow truck?

I'd be stressed as hell in that situation as well but if the car looks and drives fine, then you must have lucked out and been towed by someone that takes pride in their work. Or someone that was scared as hell to damage a $80k car.

most tow drivers are worried about damage these days. They extensively take pictures before they hook the car up and if there's damage they pay for it or get in huge trouble. They also don't use hooks anymore. They basically cup the front tires and then put a dolly on the rears so no part of your car is touching the ground. For the most part, the ones I've seen are pretty careful because it can cost their job if there's damage.

Man, really glad your car was not damaged! Not my experience with tow companies at all. Back in SC there was a tow company that would move around "no parkkng" signs and towed legally parked cars - and do a lousy job at that. They scratched the hell out of my coaches VW, denied it, and the police and city refuse to even look into it. Crooks.

Wow! Absolute scum of the earth right there!

The problem is the police down there won't even do anything. We even asked one that was sitting on the counter at the gas station across the street from the lot to come with us after explaining the situation and he shrugged his shoulders and told us that they don't deal with them even though they know they're shady.

I would have done a number on their tow trucks in that situation. . . .
