2017 C63AS Cabriolet
Traction

I have about 600 miles in the seat with the C63S Cabrio and I have been sticking to the under 4.5k RPM and no kick-down rules. It's fascinating that I can break the tires loose with only 3/4th throttle rolling in second gear.

For those that have upgraded to a larger tire size, does it help?

FTR, I am dying to get to the 1k mark.

yes it helps substantially. I have 285s. I also have all seasons which help in anything other than a nice sunny day.

Yes, wider tires or bigger diameter will definitely help. But don't forget that even without reaching the "break in" limit of 4500rpm, peak torque is already achieved at just 1750rpm.

The car is a beast regardless of the tires, I am currently running 305 SS in the rear and still will break traction in second.
