Roof Rack Crossbar Mods
I was curious if anyone has attempted to modify W204 ('09 C63) roof-rack crossbars to fit on a W205 ('15 C63S)? At a glance, the connection points appear to be the same, the only issue is that they are too long.
Assuming that I can remove the mounting detail from one end, I was thinking all I would need to do is cut the aluminum extrusion to the proper length and remount the mounting detail. Just wanted to see if anyone had any experience with this.

Based on the overwhelming responses I'm guessing I'm the only one who wanted to convert his OEM W204 crossbars to W205 crossbars! Here are my findings.
The front cross bar required no modifications whatsoever, there was enough adjustment in the bar itself (each connector can be loosened and there is about 12mm total adjustment available).
The rear turned out to be about 54mm too long. There is one slotted hole and one square hole that you have to relocate. Once the new holes are in place, the last step is to cut off the extra 54mm. Reassemble and you are ready to roll!
