Hi guys,

When you select your engine setting for individual to race, is the transmission supposed to automatically upshift? It seems that no matter if i select manual or automatic for the transmission setting in individual, it will never upshift automatically. The transmission will downshift automatically, but not upshift.

I'm trying to figure out if this is normal operation for the engine being in the race setting, or if there is an issue.

 

It should upshiift in Auto. It won't shift until you hit redline (or close to it) even if you are driving normally. It's definitely intended for track use.

 

Trans should always auto upshift and downshift unless your Individual setting has the trans in manual. All other modes default to automatic shift unless you press the transmission button

 

It is normal I had the same concern when I first bought my S in race mode the car will only upshift when the car reachs a certain torque limit it won't work if you are driving the car noral you would have to drive it a bit hard for it to change into the next gears. Don't stress it is normal.

 

It wont shift till red line in race so just use the paddles to shift when you want.
But it will shift down as you slow.

 

You are incorrect you don't have to red lone to get it to shift it will shift as soon as it reaches a certain torque limit
